FAQs

Are you a registered counsellor?

1

Yes, I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #22370) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).

This means I have completed a master’s degree in counselling, fulfilled clinical training and supervision requirements, and meet the professional and ethical standards set by BCACC. I am committed to ongoing learning and accountability in my work.

For you, this means you’re working with a counsellor who is qualified, supported by a professional regulatory body, and dedicated to providing ethical, trauma-informed care. Many extended health plans also reimburse services provided by an RCC (please check with your provider).

Most importantly, my registration reflects my commitment to offering a safe, thoughtful, and professional space where you can feel supported in the work we do together.

My fee is $150 per 50-minute session.

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, my services are often covered in full or in part by extended health benefit plans. Please check directly with your insurance provider to confirm your specific coverage.

If cost is a concern, I encourage you to reach out — I believe counselling should feel accessible, and we can discuss options together.

What are your fees?

Do you offer a free consultation?

3

Yes. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help you decide whether counselling—and my approach—feel like the right fit for you. This is a low-pressure conversation where you can ask questions, share what’s bringing you here, and get a sense of how working together might feel. There is no obligation to book a session afterward.

I work with adults (18+) who are located in British Columbia and seeking individual counselling. My practice focuses on supporting people navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and the impacts of trauma. I aim to offer a thoughtful, steady space for reflection, exploration, and change.

Who do you work with?

What can I expect in a first session?

5

The first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what’s bringing you to counselling. There’s no expectation to share everything all at once. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and we’ll focus on what feels most important to talk about in that moment.

Do you offer in-person or online counselling?

6

At this time, I offer online counselling only. Virtual sessions are held on a secure, confidential platform and can be a flexible and accessible option for many people. We can also talk about whether online counselling feels like a good fit for you during a consultation.

What is your cancellation policy?

7

I ask for 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged the full session fee, except in cases of emergency.

Is what I share confidential?

8

Yes. Counselling is confidential, with a few legal and ethical exceptions related to safety, which will be explained clearly during our first session. If you ever have questions about confidentiality, you’re welcome to ask.
